The training was hadeled by two expertes (Dr. Melese Temesgen [Haramaya University] and Mr. Teshager Ashenafi [FAO]) who won a call for the training in 2012 E.C.) The training was delivered to 29 experts drawn from various regions in the country and was conducted at Tomi International Hotel, Bishoftu town. At the end of the training, feedbacks and observations about the strengths and weaknesses, about the training delivery were made by the BiT coordinators.
  • Food Production and Productivity Improvement:  Based on a new request from FBPIDI in March/2013 E.C. for a specific training on Food Production and Productivity Improvement which came from Addis Ababa Bureau of Trade and Industry, we have organized the training by forming a team of experts in the area for a better delivery of the training. Accordingly, one Industrial Engineer from BiT (Mr. Migabr Shibabaw). One Food Engineer with industrial experience (Mr. Bekele Mekuria) and also one expert from Bless Factory (Mr. Geresu Bechere) were included in the team and contracted to deliver the training. They prepared the training manuals which were then reviewed by the BiT project team. The training was delivered from 27/07/13 to 01/08/13 E.C. at Axum Hotel, Addis Ababa. A total of 30 participants attended the training most of whom drawn from Addis Ababa Bureau of Trade and Industry. It was facilitated/ coordinated by Mr. Degnet Teferi and Mr. Mengistu Gizaw from the project team. This training was also supported by a field visit to Faffa Food Share Company, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Based on feedbacks received from the training participants in both trainings conducted in this year (both written and oral), the trainees expressed theirsatisfaction with both contents and delivery of the training. Their comments/suggestions were properly recorded and reported. Following the completion of each training, the twinning team at BiT has made discussions about the training (strengths, weaknesses, successes, lessons learnt, etc. and the way forward about the remaining trainings).
