6th ICT for Development in Africa (ICT4DA-2024) Conference Concludes Successfully

The 6th International Conference on ICT for Development in Africa (ICT4DA-2024) has successfully concluded at the Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, Bahir Dar University (BiT-BDU). The event, held from November 18-19, 2024, brought together researchers, academics, ICT industry leaders, and representatives from both governmental and non-governmental organizations.

This year’s conference featured distinguished keynote speakers from both Europe and Africa, who actively engaged with the audience on key issues in the ICT sector. The program included thought-provoking panel discussions, keynote speeches, and a special session that addressed the state of ICT across the continent. These discussions were centered on the conference theme: "Digital Innovation for Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Growth."

A total of 125 research papers were submitted to the conference, with 43 being accepted after a rigorous peer-review process. These papers were presented in two parallel sessions, showcasing cutting-edge research on topics. The conference provided a platform to exchange innovative ideas, share knowledge, and explore potential collaborations across different sectors focused on ICT for development in Africa.
