Brief Biography: I obtained my BSc (Geology, in 2013) and MSc (Petroleum Geoscience, in 2017) degree respectively from Dilla University and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The focus of my BSc. senior project was on engineering characterization of Gidabo Dam in SNNP, Ethiopia. My MSc thesis work was on seismic interpretation and characterization of hydrothermal vents and vertical fluid-flow conduits in Mid Norwegian Sea.
Research Interest
I am highly interested in Petroleum exploration, Basin analysis, seismic interpretation of subsurface fluid-flow features (Hydrothermal Vents, pipes or conduits, mounds, seepage anomalies, etc.), emplacement mechanisms of magmatic sills and their effect on host-rock strata (host-rock deformation), effect of magmatism and or hydrothermal processes on Petroleum systems, Geo-tourism, Faciece analysis, depositional environment and , Paleoenvironmental reconstruction, Sedimentology, Submarine mass-wasting, Volcano-geomorphology, Seismic stratigraphy.
