Joined in 2018, Beaman Girum is a Lecturer in the department of Ge'ez Language and Literature at Bahir Dar University.  Before joining BDU, Beaman has worked in Aksum and Debre Markos universities, and has taught Ge'ez Language and Moral Education at Miskaye Hizunan Monastery School in Addis Abeba.

Field of specialization:  Philology

Research interests: Philology, Ethiopian Studies, Theology, Manuscript Studies, Gə'əz Language and Literature, Semitic Studies, Moral and Ethics.

Community service interest: Cultural, Historical and Linguistic Issues.
