 MAJOR RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests lie in the fields of Online Journalism, Social Media, Communication for Development, Health Communication, Public Relations, and Development Journalism.

 Overall, my current and future research projects reflect my strong interest in a broader research agenda that seeks to study the role that Communication plays in the process of human interaction as well as in the improvement of Journalism and Communications education.

 My main theoretical interest is in understanding why future communication is geared to human prior experience and what factors are enabling those experiences to influence human behavior in the future communication efforts.Currently this has led me to focus on doing a survey on my students’ previous experiences and their aspirations and interests for communication.

 KEY SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Apart from my academic career, I am a licenced tour guide. I have been working as a local guide at Bahir Dar Town. With this, I had a successful experience in tour operation in north western Ethiopia; Bahir Dar, Gondar, Lalibela etc.
