Wubante Fetene Admasu (Ph.D.) obtained his BA in Economics from Addis Ababa University and his MSc in Land Management from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. In May 2021, he obtained his PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp, Belgium. Apart from teaching at the Institute of Land Administration, Wubante has held various positions at Bahir Dar University, including program manager, research and community service coordinator, and educational quality control and enhancement coordinator at the Institute of Land Administration. Currently, he is working as an assistant professor of Land Economics and Valuation. Additionally, Wubante is a postdoctoral researcher in Land Policy and Governance, head of Department of Real Property Valuation and an editor-in chief of the Journal of Land Policy and Governance. He is also a member of the BDU-IUC project called "Socioeconomics, Sustainable Livelihood and Environmental Management in Northwest Ethiopia," as well as a member of the Environmental Economics Group at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Antwerp. He is a productive researcher and consultant, having published numerous research papers on Ethiopian land related and development issues. His research papers are highly relevant to sustainable development in Ethiopia and are characterized by a high degree of professionalism and integrity. Wubante has extensive experience in working with private sectors, NGOs (such as USAID, DFID, REILA, etc.), and other UN organizations (such as FAO, ECA/ALPC, etc.)
