Institute of Disaster Risk Management and Food Security Studies Institute (IDRMFSS) staff and PG students on Basic and Advanced Python program applications
The Institute of Disaster Risk Management and Food Security Studies (IDRMFSS) has conducted basic and advanced python programing applications for five days, running from March 23 to March 27, 2026. The training was designed specifically for PhD candidates, MSc students, and the institute's academic staff.
The program was officially inaugurated by the Institute’s Director, Dr. Adane Tesfaye, who emphasized that mastering data-driven tools is a cornerstone of the Institute’s strategy to transform the institute to research intensive institute. Dr. Adane remarked that this training is a critical investment in our human capital.
The training was facilitated by Dr. Tesfahun Asmamaw, a prominent researcher from the Institute of Disaster Risk Management and Food Security Studies. The training participants were 22 (16 PG students and 6 institute staff). Upon completion, participants will be expected to utilize these new programming skills to present seminar papers and, publishable research articles in high impacted journals.
