Conflict and Conflict Resolution Mechanisms training delivered to freshman students

Bahir Dar University’s Campus Peace project in collaboration with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has delivered three days of training for 1st year selected and interested students on the theme titled “University students as agents of peacebuilding”. The three days training mainly aimed to equip students about the drivers of conflict and the alternative possible ways to address the differences amicably in their stay on the campus and future life. Such training is expected to enhance intergroup positive relationships by promoting a culture of trust and collaboration among diverse identity lines on University campuses. The trainees were asked about their expectations from the training and replied “we are university students from different ethnic groups coming together to discuss key issues affecting all of us”.
