Program Description:
Hydraulic and water resources engineers with adequate knowledge in the area of hydraulics, irrigation, water supply and other hydraulic and water resources engineering project and who can be actively engaged in the planning, development and management of hydraulic and water engineering project will be produced through this program

Objectives
This program is aimed at training manpower required for the realization of the country’s untouched hydraulic and water resources engineering works. Well qualified hydraulic and water resources engineers with adequate knowledge in the area of hydraulics, irrigation, water supply and other hydraulic and water resources engineering project and who can be actively engaged in the planning, development and management of hydraulic and water engineering project will be produced through this program. Specifically, the trainees will be equipped with the knowledge that enables them to execute the following tasks: 
Undertake project identification, pre-feasibility and feasibility study and detail design of hydraulic and water resources engineering works. 
Prepare complete contract documents and terms of references for hydraulic and water resources engineering project 
Plan, manage, monitor and evaluate the operation and maintenance of hydraulic and water resources engineering works. 
Remodeling and rehabilitation of existing hydraulic and water resources engineering works.

Admission criteria
Applicants should achieve the minimum score on Ethiopian Higher Education Qualification Certificate Examination (EHEQCE) or equivalent which satisfies admission cut point to higher education set by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency.
