The key responsibilities of this office include:
- Institutional Standards and Compliance: Leading the development and implementation of institutional standards, ensuring that all academic and administrative operations align with legal requirements.
- Organizational and Operational Management: Overseeing the institute’s organizational structures, processes, internal controls, and auditing mechanisms to ensure operational efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
- Human Resource Management: Developing and implementing human resource policies that comply with legal standards. Planning and managing the personnel budget and overseeing the recruitment, management, and dismissal of staff.
- Financial Planning and Oversight: Responsible for overall budget planning, financial steering, and expenditure policy. Ensuring the institute's financial liquidity and proper allocation of resources to support institutional objectives.
- Budget Preparation and Implementation: Preparing institutional plans and budgets, ensuring their implementation in alignment with the strategic goals of the institute.
- Property and Procurement Management: Managing the institute’s assets and ensuring that all procurement activities.
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, including the Higher Education Proclamation, regulations, and institutional policies, safeguarding the institute’s legal standing.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate and accessible documentation of all institutional operations and transactions.
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT): Developing and overseeing the implementation of the institute's ICT strategy, ensuring that technology enhances operational efficiency and academic performance.
- Facilities Management: Overseeing building construction, facility planning, maintenance, and management of the institute’s physical infrastructure, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Capacity Building: Leading initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities of both staff and students, contributing to the institution’s long-term growth.
- Student Services: Supporting the overall well-being, development, and success of students.
