Delegates of the University of Sinnar, Sinnar state, Sudan that is led by Professor Abderrahman A. M. Ismeil who is the vice chancellor of the University visited the Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX ), Bahir Dar University on the 3^rd  of December 2024.

The visit focused on discussing possible opportunities to collaborate with EiTEX in multidisciplinary areas of research, academic and socially and economically meaningful projects including student and staff exchange programs. Furthermore, strategic collaboration on Textile, Apparel, Fashion and Leather engineering areas considered vital to enhance the role that East Africa could play in the sector based on the fact that the potential that the region has in cotton production.

Professor Tamrat Tesfaye who is the scientific director of EiTEX and his team who acknowledged the visit and warmly welcomed the delegates expressed their appreciation of the initiation which the University of Sinnar has taken to visit EiTEX and the facilities at Selam Campus for further collaboration. The meeting is considered fruitful by both parties.
