Alumni of Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX), Bahir Dar University shared their academic, job and policy related and opportunities and demands of the textile and fashion sectors on January 11/2025 at Selam Campus, Fashion Hall.

 Mr. Fiker Tesfu who has rich experience in both private and governmental organizations taking different roles in management, consultancy and supervision in textiles, merchandising, project management and related fields shared his experience to EiTEX students. Mr. Endegena Eshetu who is the founder and CEO of Sparks Apparel PLC also addressed the importance of skills development while students are in campus. He asserted that the graduates need also be open minded and always ready to learn, ready to take responsibility and upgrade their skills through changes. Ms. Mastewal Alemu who was a student and academic staff member of EiTEX and who is working as a fashion designer and establish her brand focusing on Fashion with Purpose since 2022, and already got international platforms like Nirobi and Milan to showcase her collections, and magazine covers on Vogue and ELLE, has shared her experience in studying Fashion design in EiTEX and her journey to be where she is at currently.

The speeches of all the Alumni were extremely significant to students who are learning to join the work environment, and staff members to note the current practices in policies, industries, private establishments, market situations and targets of the sector in general.
