Medium of Instruction

The medium of instruction for the Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance program is English.

Duration of the Study

The completion of the program requires four academic years, or eight semesters, for the regular mode of study. For the extension mode, the program is completed over five academic years, or ten semesters, while the distance learning mode requires four and a half academic years, or nine semesters, to complete.

Total Load

The total load of the program is 151 credit hours or 247 credit points.

Admission Requirements

Applicants who completed the preparatory secondary education with a minimum cut- off point set by the Ministry in the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Examination (EHEE) will be admitted.

Graduation Requirements

To graduate from the Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance program, a student must successfully complete all required courses in the curriculum, earning a total of 247 credit points (CPs), except in cases where credits are formally waived. The student must achieve a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.00 and must not have received a failing grade (‘F’) in any course. Additionally, the student is required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.00 in all major courses by the end of the program.
