He also has Nature and wildlife management specialist from Van hall institute, Wageningen University, the Netherlands. Kefyalew has published About 57 Research article publication and 4 book chapters in international and peer reviewed journals in livestock related sciences. He also Advised 58 MSc and 6 PhD Animal Genetics and Breeding students working their research in animal and related sciences and Completed Eight research projects being the principal investigator.
As per his work experience, he has worked in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development as Animal and their by-product market studies expert as well as Farmers Training center coordinator and SMS member. In Gondar and Bahir Dar University he has worked as instructor, researcher, department heads, course chair and biotechnology Research institute director. (When he was working as a director of biotechnology research institute (Coordinating six different research departments) and as department heads, he had a responsibility of planning, executing, supporting technically and reporting the research activities and this can really help to accomplish the roles and responsibilities set by the save the children in particular and the country in general). He is also serving the community as Vice chairman of the board of Ethiopian Red Cross Society, Amhara Regional Branch and Founder and Board member of National society of Ecotourism and Biodiversity conservation. when I was working as a board member and vice chairman of the board in Ethiopian Red Cross Society, Amhara Regional Branch (ERC) , as National board member of Charity organization Society for ecotourism and biodiversity conservation (SEBC) , as a board member of for a charity organization called Family and community transformation (FaCt) , as humanitarian organization leadership I tried to provide advice and oversight support to the development of livelihood and resilience building projects, plans and processes, ensuring alignment with wider program policies and guidance.
Nationally, Kefyalew has participated as a team leader (one commodity) and as a professional in developing National Animal Breeding Strategies organized by Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA) and Ministry of Agriculture. He is also founder, co-founder and leader of six different institutions in the country. For these and others he has received 12 thanks and recognition certificate from different institutions.
