The 3rd annual MICE Tourism week Celebrated

The 3rd annual MICE Tourism week organized by College of Business and Economics, Department of Tourism and Hotel Management has been finalized today at the college’s meeting hall after a half day public lecture presented by Mr. Leuel Yohannes, V/head of ANRS Culture, Tourism and Parks Bureau. Mr. Leuel in his lecture noted the significant role of tourism in the national economy and what Ethiopia in general and the Amhara National Regional State in particular have been striving for the improvement of the sector in different dimensions.  In the occasion, the dean of Business and Economics College, Mr Belayneh Astre in his opening remark told the participants that the college is willing to work together with different stakeholders in the area, such as ANRS Culture, Tourism and parks Bureau, to increase the contribution of tourism in the Region’s as well as for national development.   
 The MICE tourism week was celebrated inside the college for one week with a theme of “The role of Tourism in the development of local Economy.” Different events such as cleaning and sanitation, exhibition, art and other kinds of competition were conducted as part of the tourism week celebration.  Winners of the competition and other individuals who have contributed for the successful accomplishment of the MICE tourism week were awarded medal and certificate.
