Bahir Dar University School of Law has participated at the 26th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition, Vienna, Austria

The School of Law, in its effort of enabling students to acquire extensive practical knowledge and skill in the field, supports students to participate in several national and international academic competitions. One of the most prestigious of these was the Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Starting from 2017, the School sent Vis moot teams to Hamburg (Germany) and Vienna (Austria) to compete in this largest international commercial arbitration moot. In the School’s 2017 and 2018 participations, our team successfully participated in the competition to winning the Michael L. Sher Award of the competition and achieved immense results, that it was the first time a team from Africa had ever won the award.
Continuing it's the effort, the School has sent a team composed of two team members and one coach to participate in the 26th Willem C Vis International Commercial Moot Competition where 372 universities around the world have participated.
