Geography and Environmental Studies

Introduction

In Geography and Environmental Studies the undergraduate program is in regular, extension, distance and summer. The objective, courses, and graduation requirements are more or les the same. There are slight differences in the admission requirement and course breaks downs.

 

Admission Requirement

For any program (regular, extension summer and distance), it depends on the requirements set by the ministry of education for higher education enrolment. But there may be variations in some cases.

          

Objectives

   The general objective of the program is to produce all rounded citizens capable of:

  • understanding the factors and patterns of spatial problems and possibilities of human and physical phenomena and their interactions,
  • Participating in development undertakings independently or with government and non – government agencies and organizations.
  • Comprehending the risks, potentials, and prospects of the country’s environment in isolation as well as in global perspective.
