የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ሕክምናና ጤና ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ ለ1553 ሰዎች የሕክምና የማህበረሰብ አገልግሎት ሰጠ፡፡/ College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Bahir Dar University delivered medical community outreach

የባሕርዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ሕክምናና ጤና ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ የሕክምና ቡድን በማቋቋም የወባ ወረርሽኝ በተቀሰቀሰባቸዉ ወረዳዎች በሚገኙ 3 (ሶስት) ጤና ጣቢያዎች ላይ በመገኘት ለ1553 ሰዎች ከሰኔ 05 እስከ 29፤ 2012 ዓ.ም. የሕክምና የማሕበረሰብ አገልግሎት ሰጥቷል፡፡የሕክምና አገልግሎቱ በአንዳሳ፣ ጢስ አባይ እና ሐሙሲት ጤና ጣቢያዎች የተሰጠ ሲሆን በአጠቃላይ ህክምና ከተሰጣቸዉ ዉስጥ 37% የሚሆኑት በወባ የተጠቁ ነበሩ፡፡

የሕክምና ቡድኑ ከሐኪም፣ ከሜዲካል ላቦራቶሪ፣ ከአካባቢ ጤና አጠባበቅ፣ ከጤና ማበልፀግ፣ ከኢፒዲሞሎጅና ነርስ የሕክምና ዘርፎች የተውጣጣ ሲሆን በተጨማሪም 1217 ለሚሆኑ ሰዎች ስለ COVID-19 እና ወባ የመከላከያ ዘዴዎች ትምህርት ሰጥቷል፡፡እንዲሁም ሐሙሲት ላይ በአንድ ቀበሌ በመገኘት የኢፒዲሞሎጅክ ሰርቬይ ተሰርቷል፡፡

የተሰጠው የሕክምና የማሕበረሰብ አገልግሎት ከክልሉ ጤና ቢሮ እና የማሕበረሰብ ጤና ተቋማት እዉቅና አግኝቷል፡፡ በ2011 ዓ.ም በአንዳሳ በተከሰተው የወባ ወረርሽኝ የህክምና ድጋፍ በማድረግ የአካባቢውን ማህበረተሰብ ከሞት ለመታደግ ችሏል:: መሰል ድጋፎችን በ2013 ዓ.ም  አጠናክሮ በመቀጠል የማህበረሰቡን ጤና ለመጠበቅ መጠነ ሰፊ ስራዎችን የሚሰራ ይሆናል::

College of Medicine and Health Sciences of Bahir Dar University delivered medical community services for 1553 individuals in three health centers of districts where malaria outbreak occurred. The community outreach was conducted in the health centers of Andassa, Tis Abay and Hamusit districts by a team of experts between 12 June and 6 July 2020.  Of the total individuals reached through the community services, 37% were infected with malaria.

The team comprised of experts from fields of medicine, medical laboratory, public health, health education and promotion, epidemiology, and nurse. In addition, awareness creation activities on COVID-19 and mechanisms of malaria prevention were done for 1217 individuals whereas epidemiologic survey was conducted in one of the kebeles of Hamusit.

Amhara Health Bureau and Amhara Public Health Institute both recognized the community outreach given by the College. It is recalled that the College rescued the lives of residents of Andassa in 2019 through delivering medical support for the fight against malaria outbreak. The College is determined to continue providing wider and strengthened community services in 2021, thereby improving the health of the community.
