A Website of the Center for Capacity Building Programs Finally Up!

With the committed cooperation and follow up of the University's ICT Directorate, a website is now constructed for easy communication of the Center's activities, plans, and reports of all aspects of its capacity building tasks. Ato Birhanu and Ato Yibletal from the Teaching and Learning Technology Division of the Directorate took the primary responsibility in building the website, and the Center appreciates all their efforts! 

First Attempt to Compile Faculty Directory Came to Fruition

The Center for Capacity Building Programs releases a faculty directory consisting of the basic profile of about 300 faculty members of Bahir Dar University. A faculty information collection form was dispatched in 2008 E.C. asking each faculty members' educational background, teaching experience, publication history, research interest, and contact information. An elecctronic version of a "yelow page" of the faculty members who submitted their information was prepared this year. The information is meant to be used by anyone in the campus.

Training given for more than 40 Doctoral Students and Staff

Two rounds of a three-day intensive training on Qualitative Research Methods was organized and conducted by the Center from June 06-08 and 14-16, 2017. The training was delivered by Dr. Meskerem Lechissa. Topics and practical activities included: the different types of qualitative research, construction and use of qualitative data gathering tools, qualitative data analysis, and use of software in qualitative data analysis process.
